A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited-overs cricket that is played between two teams with international standing. During the game, which may last up to 9 hours, each team faces a certain amount of overs, currently 50. This format is used to play the Cricket World Cup, which is typically held every four years. Twenty20 International competitions can sometimes be referred to as Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), another moniker for One Day International competitions.
