Rahmanullah Gurbaz has scored the most runs against Bangladesh in ODIs, i.e. 341. Recently in this series of ODI against South Africa, he scored a brilliant century. While playing in this ODI series, Gurbaz presented a great display of batting.
He one-handedly took the responsibility of making the runs from his end in the last match of the series where he made 89 runs. Due to his stargazing performance in the series, he was awarded with player of the series as well.

After the series, ICC announced the player’s list of ranking in the ODI on Wednesday. Simultaneously, in the ODI series of Afghanistan and South Africa, Rahmanullah Gurbaz delivered this exceptional performance against South Africa. Due to this, he has jumped 10 places in the list of ODI batsmen. With this, he has now made a unique record in his name.
At present, he has now become the first Afghan player to reach the top 10 in the ICC ODI batting rankings. The history was created by him securing the eighth position. In the latest list of ODI rankings, Gurabaz has a total of 692 rating points in his account. Before Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the record of the highest ODI batting ranking from Afghanistan was registered in the name of batsman Ibrahim Zadran.
