Tamim Iqbal
Tamim Iqbal is the only T20I centurion for Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi opener registered the highest total for a Bangladeshi batter and the only century in a qualifying match for the 2016 T20 World Cup against Oman. Iqbal remained not out and scored 103 runs in 63 balls hitting 10 fours and five sixes. His knock helped Bangladesh to post a total of 180 runs and win the match by 54 runs (DLS method).
Tamim Iqbal
In addition to the highest score for Bangladesh in a T20I match, Tamim Iqbal also has the highest score for Bangladesh in a T20I. Iqbal’s knock of 88 runs in 61 balls places him second on this list. Chasing 198 against the West Indies, the knock from the Bangladeshi opener went in vain as West Indies won the match by 18 runs.
Shakib al Hasan
As it is with any record list for Bangladesh, Shakib al Hasan ranks fairly highly. The Bangladeshi all-rounder played a knock of 84 runs off 54 balls against Pakistan in the 2012 T20 World Cup. During his stay at the crease, Shakib smashed 11 fours and two sixes but was unfortunately on the losing side of the match.
Tamim Iqbal
Just a few days before his historic century against Oman, Tamim Iqbal played a knock against the Netherlands thanks to which his name appears for the third time in this list. Iqbal played an unbeaten knock of 83 runs in 58 balls hitting six fours and three sixes. His knock helped Bangladesh to win the match by eight runs.
Litton Das
Litton Das has been looked at as a long-term replacement for Tamim Iqbal at the top of the order for Bangladesh. The wicketkeeper-batter played a quickfire knock during the Ireland tour of Bangladesh in 2023. Das scored 83 runs in just 41 balls hitting 10 fours and three sixes. His knock helped Bangladesh win the match by 77 runs.
Mohammad Naim
Chasing 175 against India, opener Mohammad Naim scored 81 runs in just 48 balls. Naim’s knock came in the series decider and would have been enough to clinch the series had it not been for Deepak Chahar’s 6/7 (Second-best T20I bowling figures). Naim did not receive much support from his teammates as eight batters were dismissed for single-digit scores.
Nazimuddin
Nazimuddin was one of the first Bangladeshi players to play a T20I match. In an international career of just 21 matches, Nazimuddin starred in a match against Pakistan. The right-handed batter scored 81 runs in 50 during an unsuccessful chase of 192 runs.
Sabbir Rahman
Sabbir Rahman was one of the few big hitters in Bangladesh’s domestic cricket scene. Rahman shot to fame thanks to his heroics in the gold medal match at the Asian Games in 2010. The batting all-rounder played a knock of 80 runs in 54 balls against Sri Lanka during the Asia Cup in 2016. In his knock, Rahman smashed 10 fours and three sixes.

Rahman scored 77 runs in just 50 balls hitting seven fours and four sixes. Unfortunately for him, Rahman’s knock wasn’t enough to win the match as a 29-run-eight-ball knock from Karthik sealed the victory and the Nidahas trophy for India.
