Elias Sunny

Elias Sunny holds the record for the best bowling figures for Bangladesh in T20Is. He was the first Bangladeshi bowler to take a fifer in a T20I match. He took the five-wicket haul during the Bangladesh tour of Ireland and Netherlands. In the first T20I, Bangladesh scored 190 runs in the first innings. Sunny’s five-wicket haul in the second innings helped Bangladesh to defeat Ireland by 71 runs. His wickets included Ed Joyce, Niall O’Brien, John Mooney, Alex Cusack and Trent Johnston.

Shakib Al Hasan

There is hardly any list in Bangladesh’s cricket history which do not feature Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib took a fifer against the West Indies in the 2nd T20I of the West Indies tour of Bangladesh in Mirpur. Bangladesh scored 211 runs in the first innings thanks to Shakib’s 26-ball-42-run unbeaten knock. In the second innings, Shakib took a fifer dismissing Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Darren Bravo, Carlos Brathwaite and Fabian Allen.

Mosaddek Hossain

Mosaddek Hossain’s fifer is recent in this list. He took his fifer against Zimbabwe. Hossain picked up a fifer where he dismissed Regis Chakabva, Craig Ervine, Wessly Madhevere, Sean Williams and Milton Shumba. His five-wicket haul in the first innings helped Bangladesh to win the match by 7 wickets.

Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman ranks fourth on the list for the best bowling figures for Bangladesh in T20Is. Rahman’s five-wicket haul came in the 2016 T20 World Cup against New Zealand. Rahman dismissed Henry Nicholls, Kane Williamson, Grant Elliott, Mitchell Santner and Nathan McCullum. Unfortunately for Rahman though despite restricting New Zealand to 145 in the first innings, Bangladesh lost the match by 75 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan

Once again Shakib Al Hasan features on this list for the best bowling figures for Bangladesh in T20Is. Bangladesh thanks to Litton Das and Hasan scored 202 runs in the first innings against Ireland in the 2nd T20I during the Ireland tour of Bangladesh. Shakib dismissed Lorcan Tucker, Ross Adair, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell and Harry Tector in the second innings. His all-round performance helped Bangladesh win the match by 77 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan appears on the list for the third time with a four–for against Australia. The Bangladesh all-rounder picked up a four-wicket haul during the fifth and final T20I of the Australia tour of Bangladesh. Bangladesh had scored only 122 runs in the first innings but a four-for from Shakib changed the tide towards them. Shakib dismissed Matthew Wade, Ashton Turner, Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa while only conceding nine runs in 3.4 overs. His economical bowling helped Bangladesh win by 60 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan

In the same year as his match-winning performance against Australia, Shakib Al Hasan produced the same figures in the first round of the 2021 T20 World Cup against Papua New Guinea. Bangladesh scored 181 runs in the first innings and bowled out P.N.G for 97 runs in the second innings thanks to Shakib’s four-for. In his four-wicket haul, Shakib dismissed Charles Amini, Simon Atai, Sese Bau and Hiri Hiri.

Nasum Ahmed

Hosting New Zealand this time Nasum Ahmed produced a similar bowling performance to Shakib’s against Australia earlier in the year at Mirpur during the 4th T20I of the New Zealand tour of Bangladesh. Nasum picked up a four-wicket haul while giving away only four runs and bowled two maiden overs. He dismissed Rachin Ravindra, Finn Allen, Henry Nicholls and Colin de Grandhomme. His four-for in the first innings helped Bangladesh to bowl out the visitors for a low total of 93 runs and eventually win the match by six wickets in the final over.

Nasum Ahmed

On the same ground a few months later, Nasum Ahmed repeated his heroics this time against Afghanistan. Bangladesh batted first in the 1st T20I of the Afghanistan tour of Bangladesh and scored 155 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, Nasum picked up a four-wicket haul. He dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Hazratullah Zazai, Darwish Rasooli and Karim Janat. His impressive figures of 4/10 helped Bangladesh win the match by 61 runs.

Mustafizur Rahman

In the same game where Nasum Ahmed picked up 4/10 against New Zealand, Mustafizur Rahman quietly also picked up a four-for. Rahman’s four-for included the dismissals of Tom Blundell, Cole McConchie, Will Young and Blair Tickner.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is another great all-rounder to emerge from Bangladesh joining the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah. Miraz picked up the figures of 4/12 to be joint 10th on the list for the best bowling figures for Bangladesh in T20Is with Mustafizur Rahman. He picked up a four-for against England in the first innings of the 2nd T20I during the England tour of Bangladesh at Mirpur. Miraz dismissed Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes and Chris Jordan. Thanks to his four-wicket haul, England was bowled out 117 runs and Bangladesh won the match by 4 wickets in the penultimate over.
