IPL 2025: When MS Dhoni jokingly called Dwayne Bravo a ‘traitor’, video goes viral
Before the IPL 2025 match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a video of MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo meeting each other is going viral on social media. In the video, former CSK captain Dhoni jokes with Bravo and calls him a “traitor”, which made fans laugh.
During a practice session at Chepauk Stadium, Dhoni saw Bravo and said, “The traitor is here…” in a funny way. Bravo smiled and replied, “Life is so unfair.”

Bravo is now working as a mentor for KKR. Before this, he was with CSK for many years, first as a player (from 2011 to 2015, and then from 2018 to 2022), and later as a bowling coach in IPL 2023 and 2024.

Even though Bravo is now with KKR, his friendship with Dhoni is still strong. That’s why this funny moment between them became so popular. KKR shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), and it has been watched by millions.

Bravo joked and said, “I thought I’d have to come to your hotel to meet you, because you don’t come for optional sessions.”
Dhoni replied quickly, “I thought you also don’t come for optional sessions.”
CSK needs to win badly
Talking about CSK, the team is not doing well right now. They have played five matches and won only one—the first match against Mumbai Indians. After that, they lost four matches in a row. Right now, CSK is at number nine in the points table.
Also, CSK’s regular captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is out of the season due to an elbow injury. So Dhoni is now leading the team again. His first match as captain this season will be on Friday, April 11, against KKR at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
KKR also struggling for form
On the other side, KKR is also facing problems. They are at number six in the points table and are not able to win matches consistently. The team is hoping that Bravo, as a mentor, can help improve their performance.
