IPL 2025: The LSG vs MI match took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 4th. In this 16th game of IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants secured their second win of the tournament.
Asked to bat, Mitchell Marsh (60) gave Lucknow Super Giants a strong start with a quick 27-ball fifty. Aiden Markram (53) joined him for a 76-run opening partnership. Mumbai Indians fought back with quick wickets, but Ayush Badoni (30) and David Miller (27) helped Lucknow reach 203/8. Mumbai’s captain Hardik Pandya took 5 wickets.
In the chase, Mumbai’s openers Will Jacks (6) and Ryan Rickelton (10) fell early, leaving them at 17/2. Naman Dhir (46) and Suryakumar Yadav (67) rebuilt with a 69-run partnership. Suryakumar hit his first IPL 50, and with Tilak Varma (25), they added 66 runs for the fourth wicket. Tilak retired himself out, and Mitchell Santner came in to bat.
