The Cricket World Cup is the name of the One Day International (ODI) men’s cricket competition. The competition has been held every four years since the International Cricket Council (ICC) organised the first Cricket World Cup in England. The number of teams and matches have expanded since the ICC indicated an interest in modifying the format in response to criticism of the 2007 World Cup.

Andy Roberts
lethal and stoic No indication of emotion, boundary, or wickedness would be present, with the exception of a gunslinger’s narrowing of the eyes. Andy Roberts managed his emotions. Thoughtful cricketer with a fertile mind lurked behind the surface, calculating and organising the assassination of batters as if it were a military operation.
The modern West Indian game, which mainly relies on fast bowlers, was created by him, and he has done so successfully for the past 25 years. This bowler possessed massive shoulders that gave him push, and his timing gave him velocity.
Ian Botham
The most well-known player in cricket during the 1980s was Ian Botham, who was also the best English cricketer of the era. Before Paul Gascoigne and David Beckham, this footballer made several media headlines as his career reached incredible heights and inconceivable depths. Ian Botham made his England debut in 1977 after being promoted from Somerset, and after one year, he was without a doubt the best all-around player in the country. He was made captain three years later. Four years later, with his form in ruins, he abruptly quit (just before being let go).
After that, the most illustrious few weeks in English cricket history began when Botham led England to an incredible Ashes victory with three performances—two with the bat and one with the ball.
Gavin Larsen
Gavin Larsen was in three teams that won successive World Cups and played in 121 matches, earning him a reputation for one-day internationals in New Zealand. When New Zealand won the 1992 World Cup on home soil and proceeded to the semi-finals, “The Postman” (he always delivered) developed a reputation as a frugal one-day bowler. He and Chris Harris, along with Willy Watson, made up the “dibbly-dobbly-wibbly-wobbly” trio. At the 1999 World Cup in England, he allowed just 3.46 runs per over as New Zealand reached another semi-final. After that match, he had to terminate his international career due to an injury, so he went into business and started working for one of New Zealand Cricket’s major sponsors.
John Traicos
John Traicos is a disciplined and accurate offspinner and one of the most distinctive performers in international cricket. When he made a comeback to international cricket in 1992 at the age of 45, he participated in the first four Test matches for Zimbabwe. In the last series they played before being sent into a sporting exile in 1969–1970, he made his Test debut for South Africa. It is a record-breaking 22 years and 222 days between appearances. He was raised in South Africa after being born in Egypt, and he later represented Rhodesia/Zimbabwe when many of his contemporaries were working abroad. He travelled to England in 1967 with universities from South Africa.
When Zimbabwe was ultimately admitted to the fold in 1992, Traicos was still by far the greatest offspinner in the country and one of the best in the world. John Traicos is regarded as one of the and a lot of people half his age would have been embarrassed by how quickly he fielded in the ditch. He finished the first Test against Zimbabwe with 5 for 86 from 50 overs. His international career came to a stop in 1993–1994 when he was prevented from touring Pakistan by work commitments. Australian corporate secretary Traicos and his family left Zimbabwe in 1997 due to political concerns. His daughter Chloe is a performer.
Shaun Pollock
Given the qualities that were present in his gene pool, Shaun Pollock ought to have excelled as an international cricket player. Dad Peter led the South African assault during the 1960s, and Uncle Graeme was at least one of the top left-handers in the league. Shaun possesses traits from both, but he has distinguished himself as a seamer with flawless, Hadlee-like length and line. The Natal teammates took great delight in keeping count of how many batters he pinned in each and every game because he was slick and aggressive in the beginning of his first-class career. In defiance of Michael Atherton’s desires, he was selected for the South African Test team.
