Highest Individual Scores for ODI Cricket: Individual Batting Records and Statistics

A look at the all-time highest ODI scores is shown here. Presently, Rohit Sharma holds the most outstanding individual ODI score.

One-Day International Competition (ODI) The sport of cricket has a long history. Still, recent miracles in the game have broken countless records and shattered many preconceived notions about the sport. Ten two cents were scored in one-day international cricket, and Rohit Sharma of India scored three.

Sachin Tendulkar, an Indian prodigy, was the first player to reach a double hundred in the men’s one-day international cricket competition. The highest One Day International cricket scores are double hundreds in 50 over games. Until 2010, this was only a dream for cricket lovers. There were 200 tries. The main problem was finishing the innings by winning 50 overs. Due to a lack of balls, Charles Coventry (194), Martin Guptill (189), and MS Dhoni (183) were all unbeaten but missed out on the 200s. In 1999, even Sachin Tendulkar failed.

Virender Sehwag, Sanath Jayasuriya, Chris Gayle, and other powerful hitters made 200 possible. Mindset and form were all that was needed. After Sachin’s double century in 2010, seven ODIs have had double hundreds.

Rohit Sharma

As of this writing, Rohit Sharma is the third Indian to hit 200 in an ODI. He made history by becoming the first batsman in the format to record three double-hundreds. His first 200 came in 2013 when he hit 209 against Australia. This was improved upon in 2014. Against Sri Lanka, Sharma scored an incredible 264, a new ODI record.

There has never been a higher score in an ODI than this. His innings totalled 33 fours and nine sixes. A batsman with a higher percentage of runs scored from boundaries has never been. Sharma scored his second 200th run. Against Sri Lanka in 2017, Sharma added a third double-century to his 2017 total. A true icon of One-Day Internationals.

Martin Guptill

In the 2015 ODI World Cup, Martin Guptill beat Chris Gayle to win the tournament. With the highest score in World Cup history, he won. Guptill had adventurous innings, even by the standards of one-day internationals. He faced 163 balls when not out and crushed 237. Only Guptill from New Zealand has ever reached 200 runs in one-day internationals.

Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag first hinted at the possibility of a double century in one-day internationals in 2004. Sachin Tendulkar, the “little master,” was the first to reach the milestone in 2010. Although Sehwag did the same thing in 2011, others quickly joined him. He smashed 219 out of 147 balls at Indore while playing for India against West Indies. He hit 25 fours and seven sixes in his knock.

Chris Gayle

Christopher Henry Gayle is a big star in cricket. He’s been involved with the sport for over twenty years. Gayle hit two triple hundreds in Tests and was on the cusp of his first ODI 200. However, the Jamaican scored a big-time point in the 2015 World Cup. Similarly, to Zaman, he scored a knock against a hopeless Zimbabwe attack. Throughout 147 balls, Gayle amassed 215 runs. Sixteen sixes and ten fours were hit during the innings.

Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman scored the first double century by a Pakistani batter in one-day internationals. The Zimbabwean team was the target of his heroics. With a total of 210 runs, he only faced 156 balls in 2018. He hit 24 fours and five sixes in his knock. Zaman, who had previously hinted at a potentially massive score, has delivered. He is still the only Pakistani batsman with the achievement.
