Ravindra Jadeja

The first name on the list could be that off-experienced spin bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Having made his international debut for India in 2009 Jadeja has made a name for himself in the longest format of the game with his match-winning performances against teams like Australia England and South Africa with both bat and ball.

The Performance

He is undoubtedly the first name on the team sheet as far as Test cricket ty is concerned and has formed the core of the team in the last decade. But when it comes to white-ball cricket Jadeja hasn’t had much success with either bat or ball, especially in the T20 format of the game. Despite playing more than 200 IPL matches and a significant amount of T20Is the left-hander could be seen struggling in helpful conditions that were on offer in the USA and are currently helping the Indian spinners in the West Indies. As an experienced player, Jadeja is expected to contribute either with the bat or ball.

Rohit Sharma

The Indian Captain has failed to make an impact in the previous few editions of the T20 World Cup with his only performance of note coming against the associate nations. Although he has been outstanding with his field placements and captaincy the right-hander has not been able to perform with the bat. One of the reasons for Rohit’s constant failure could be the more attacking approach he is trying to play within the first six overs which is hampering his chances of converting starts into big scores.

Virat Kohli

The third name on the list might spark controversy but for all logical reasons the former Indian Captain should be dropped from the Indian T20 team given the fact that he would be 37 years old by the next T20 World Cup in 2026 and this might be a wise thing to look at the future and give youngsters a chance to get the taste of international cricket. It is not about the performance but the future of the team that might get Virat Kohli dropped.

Mohammad Siraj

The Indian management and selectors might drop Siraj after the T20 World Cup. Although Siraj has had a decent outing in the T20 World Cup the fast bowler might get axed after the T20 World Cup in order to get youngsters like Mayank Yadav who impressed everyone with his pace and accuracy ready before the next edition of the T20 World Cup.
