Barisal Bull

In the same BPL tournament, Barisal Bull won a tremendous victory against their rivals Sylhet Super Stars on 24th November 2015. It was a back-to-back loss for Sylhet Super Stars, which they lost by one run. Barisal Bulls made a mere 108 runs in their stipulated twenty overs. However, when Sylhet Super Stars went into bat, they could not stand in front of the deadly bowling of Barisal Bulls. Al-Amin Hossain was the match’s star, taking five wickets to destroy Sylhet Super Stars. Ultimately, Barisal Bulls won the match by one run.

Camilla Victorians

Camilla Victorians are gradually emerging as one of the strongest teams in BPL. The sparks of their team effort were shown early in 2019 when they defeated Dhaka Dynamites by one run. Set into bat, Camilla Victorians made 127 in their stipulated twenty overs. A quickfire by Mahedi Hasan and Shahid Afridi took the team to a respectful score. Rubel Hossain of Delhi Dynamites bagged four wickets for thirty runs. It seemed a cakewalk for the Dhaka Dynamites as the score was well within their reach. However, when they began their innings, they could manage only 126 for the loss of nine wickets. Though Dhaka Dynamites has Kieron Pollard on their side, the team lost to Camilla Victorians by one run.

The Victorians again emerged as winners in a nail-biting game on 18th February 2022. They defeated their archrivals Fortune Barishal by one run. When they started their game, the Victorians looked for a win, and Sunil Narine made a quickfire fifty-seven in just twenty-three balls, which helped their team score 151 for the loss of nine wickets. On the other hand, Fortune Barishal could not hold their nerves in the nail-biting game and ultimately had to surrender. Though Fortune Barishal started their game positively, they were outnumbered at the end, where they could manage 150 runs.

Khulna Royal Bengals

It seems that Sylhet Royals are always on the receiving end. It is because they suffered yet another nail-biting finish in a BPL match on 18th February 2012. The winner of the match was Khulna Royal Bengals, who defeated Sylhet Royals by two runs. Khulna Royals made 171 runs in their stipulated twenty overs and lost six wickets. Sylhet Royals, however, could not finish the chase. They lost the match by two runs. Though Kamran Akmal made 82 runs, the deadly bowling of the trio, Russel, Razzaq, and Shakib, won the people’s hearts.

Chittagong Vikings

Chittagong Vikings hold first place in winning a cricket match with the narrowest margin. They defeated Sylhet Super Stars by one run. It was an exciting match that went down the wire as nobody knew who the ultimate winner would be. The match was played on 23rd November 2015 in a T20 format. Chittagong Viking set a target of 180 runs in their stipulated twenty overs. Tamim Iqbal and Yasir Ali set the ball rolling as they built a significant partnership. Dilshan and Mushfiqur of Sylhet Super Stars also started their innings on a positive note by hitting half-centuries. However, they could not hold their nerves till the end as they finally lost the match by one run.

Conclusion

Any game going down the wire is always exciting and fun. However, the ones who are playing the actual games have to have the nerves to emerge victorious. However, whatever the score is, the excitement of the game matters.
