Big Bash League 2022-23: The Squad of Sydney Thunder

Along with Sydney Sixers, the Sydney Thunder are also considered as successors of the New South Wales Blues, who played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The team was, however, formed in 2011 and their present home ground is Sydney Showground Stadium. Currently, their coach is Trevor Bayliss and their captains: Chris Green and Jason Sangha (Acting).

As per reports, the team has successfully managed to achieve victory in 2015-16 season of the Big Bash League. Though they couldn’t come up with their best form at the beginning but has successfully managed to bounce back in the following years. According to schedule, their opening match in the upcoming Big Bash League will be against Melbourne Stars on 13 December 2022.
