Big Bash League 2022-23: Maximum Four Wicket Hauls in the League

As the contributions of bowlers are said to always have a major impact in the T20 format, thereby the Big Bash League has successfully presented impeccable bowlers since its inception. Read to know about some of the most celebrated and world-class bowlers, along with their performance records. The list mostly includes most of the four wicket hauls in the championship. 

The renowned bowler, Andrew Tye is said to achieve the first position in this context. He has, however, played for teams like Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder. As per reports, the player has played 85 matches and managed to pick up 118 wickets at an average and economy rate of 19.34 and 7.70, respectively, with the best figure of 5/23. Also, he took four or more wickets on six occasions in the championship.

  • Kane Richardson (Five four-wicket hauls) in 90 matches

Kane Richardson, who has been a part of the Big Bash League since the inaugural season, has picked up four-wicket-hauls five times in the BBL. However, the player is said to have played for Adelaide Strikers as well as Melbourne Renegades. Kane Richardson has overall taken 117 wickets in 90 games at an economy rate of 7.87 with a best figure of 4/22.

  • Peter Siddle (Four four-wicket hauls) in 68 matches

The next player to follow the list is Peter Siddle. Peter, however, made his BBL debut during the 2014 season. Reportedly, he has taken 90 wickets at an economy rate of 7.41 till date. Also, has successfully taken up five-wicket-hauls and two four-wicket-hauls with a best figure of 5/16. 

  • Dan Christian (Four four-wicket hauls) in 121 matches

Dan Christian, who is by far recognised as the Australian all-rounder has successfully bagged the fourth position in this regard. Dan has been a part of the Big Bash League since 2011, and has played for the Hobart Hurricanes, the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Sixers. Moreover, the player has managed to take 4 wickets hauls two times. 

  • Sean Abbott (Four four-wicket hauls) in 94 matches

Sean Abbott is considered to begin his Big Bash League career in the season of 2011. According to reports, the player has managed to play overall 94 games and has registered 125 wickets to his name, alongside 4 four-wicket hauls, which include 1 five-wicket haul. Also, his best bowling figure is 5/16. Furthermore, in the Big Bash League competitions, Sean has represented teams like Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder.
