The Indian women’s cricket team is all set to tour England from June 28, and the BCCI has announced the squads for both the T20I and ODI formats. This tour will feature three ODIs and five T20Is, and it marks the exciting return of Shafali Verma to the T20I side after several months out.

Shafali Verma is Back in T20Is After Strong Domestic Season

Shafali Verma, known for her attacking batting style, last played a T20I in early 2024. Since then, she was out of the squad due to inconsistent performances. But now, after showing great form in domestic cricket and the Women’s Premier League (WPL), she has earned her spot again.

Even though Shafali is back in the T20I team, she has not been picked for the ODI squad. Her last ODI appearance was in October 2024. In the ODI setup, Tejal Hasabnis and Pratika Rawal are two new faces who have been given a chance based on recent performances.

Another key return is Sneh Rana, who is back in both squads after doing well in the WPL 2025. She adds experience with both bat and ball and can be an important player in England’s conditions.
