Chris Gayle – 2017 (146 runs)
In the 2017 Bangladesh Premier League final at Dhaka’s Shere Bangla National Stadium, Rangpur Riders batsman Chris Gayle hit a tournament-record 20 sixes. The median score was 146, which included just four fours and eighteen sixes. When Gayle hit 18 sixes in one inning, he broke his previous record of 17 sixes in 20 overs.
Tamim Iqbal – 2019 (141 runs)
Among the best Twenty20 performances was that of Bangladesh’s opening batsman Tamim Iqbal in the 2019 BPL. For the first time in the BPL, Tamim reached the century mark, racking up 141 runs in his unbeaten innings while facing 61 balls. In his total, he hit 11 sixes and 10 fours. In the final of a Twenty20 tournament, Tamim scored 141, which was the second-best score ever. The first batsman from Bangladesh to hit more than ten sixes in a Twenty20 match, he made history with his performance.
Chris Gayle – 2017 (126 runs)
In the BPL, Gayle has played for three different teams. He was with the Barisal Burners before he moved to the Dhaka Gladiators. Team captain Mashrafe Mortaza has him on his Rangpur Riders squad. To add to his list of achievements, Gayle became the first batsman in Twenty20 history to hit 800 sixes. In the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) history, Chris Gayle scored the most runs in a single season (2017). At Shere Bangla National Stadium, Rangpur Riders won the 2017 Bangladesh Premier League thanks to 126 runs scored by pinch-hitter Chris Gayle on just 51 balls. Gayle hit a total of 14 sixes and 6 fours during his innings.
Sabbir Rahman – 2016 (122 runs)
Sabbir Rahman made the only century in the fourth season of the Bangladesh Premier League. Sabbir made 122 runs in a game between the Rajshahi Kings and the Barisal Bulls. During his innings, he hit nine sixes and nine fours on just 61 balls. He batted well (26.92) and played in 15 games. He batted 377. In addition, he now has fifty years under his belt—the highest individual score in Twenty20 Cricket history for the Bangladesh Premier League.
Chris Gayle – 2012 (116 runs)
Chris Gayle, also called “The T20 Master,” has scored more than 10,000 runs in this format. He has played for eighteen different teams on four different continents. As of the 2012 season, he played for Barisal Burners in the Bangladesh Premier League. Their eleventh game of the league season was against the Dhaka Gladiators.
The Jamaican batting prodigy hit 11 sixes and 6 fours for 116 runs. The team’s score of 187 needed to be better, as they lost by 21 runs. Sixty-two percent of the Burners’ runs came from Chris Gayle, but it wasn’t enough to pull off an upset. His team lost the game despite Chris Gayle’s century because of poor support.
