The T20 Leagues have gained an exceptional amount of significance and popularity over the course of time. They have helped several players to come together and play in a team irrespective of their nationality. Many players tend to take retirement from the ODI and Test Matches, but they still play in the T20 Leagues and matches at times. It is also a good space for exposure for the young players who can easily play with the seasoned professionals and get acquainted with the cricket processes.
List of the Winners of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) from 2016-2022:
1. Dhaka Gladiators won in 2012

In 2012, Dhaka Gladiators faced the Barisal Burners in the final match of the BPL that year. The team won by 8 wickets and worked hard to get the first title of the BPL T20 Leagues. The Player of the Tournament was awarded to Shakib Al Hasan in this opening first match.
2. Dhaka Gladiators won in 2013
In 2013, Dhaka Gladiators again won the BPL T20. This time the finals were against the Chittagong Kings and yet the team was able to make a mark for itself with this win. Dhaka Gladiators made a strong number of runs in the first innings and set a good score. As the Chittagong Kings could not beat the score, the Dhaka Gladiators won by 43 runs. Shakib Al Hasan was again given the prestigious Player of the Tournament award.
3. Comilla Victorians won in 2015
In 2015, there were majorly 6 teams that participated in the BPL T20 league. For the first time ever, the Comilla Victorians won the finals against the Barisal Bulls. The Dhaka Gladiators failed to even make the finals. It was a big achievement for Comilla Victorians. The award for the Player of the Tournament was given to Ashar Zaidi from the winning team of the season.
4. Dhaka Dynamites won in 2016
In 2016, the fourth season of the BPL was played. This time, the season finale was played between the Dhaka Dynamites and Kings. In the final match between the leagues, Dhaka Dynamites were able to defeat the other team and win the title for the third time. Shakib Al Hasan was the captain of the Dhaka Dynamites team. The Player of the Tournament was awarded to Mahmudullah of the team – Khulna Titans.

5. Rangpur Riders won in 2017
In 2017, the fifth season of the BPL was launched and played successfully. The Rangpur Riders were able to reach the finals for the first time ever and took the BPL trophy with pride. The Riders gave the target of 206 to the Dhaka Dynamites. They Dhaka team was unable to meet the target and thus the victory went to the Rangpur Riders. The Player of the Tournament award was given to Chris Gayle for outstanding performance.
6. Comilla Victorians won in 2019
In 2019, the sixth season of the BPL was announced and played. Comilla Victorians again entered the finals to fight against the Dhaka Dynamites for the trophy. The Victorians won the match and lifted the title for the second time in the history of the BPL. Shakib Al Hasan took the award for the Player of the Tournament for the third time. His performance was absolutely amazing. Even though he could not win the title for this team, but his skill was exceptional.
7. Rajshahi Royals won in 2020
In 2020, the seventh season of the BPL was played. The finals were between Rajshahi Royals and Khulna Tigers. Both saw it as an opportunity to make a mark for themselves for the first time ever. The Tigers were not able to perform very well and thus the title of the T20 League went to the Royals for the first time. The Tigers lost the match by 21 runs only. The Player of the Tournament was Andre Russell.
8. Comilla Victorians won in 2022
In 2022, the eighth season of the T20 league of BPL was played. It was a very cut to cut match between the Victorians and the Fortune Barishal. The Victorians won the match by 1 run and barely won the league. They worked hard towards the meeting of the target and winning the finale. Shakib Al Hasan was given the Player of the Tournament award for the exceptional performance that he showcased for his team.
