Shakib Al Hasan
Amazingly, he has taken 122 wickets in 87 matches across 327 overs, making him a genuinely exceptional cricketer. As a 17-year-old, he made his professional cricket debut for Khulna in May 2004. In his first innings, he went scoreless in 30 overs, while in the second, he took three wickets in 28. In the first inning, he hit 13 for 11, including three 4s; in the second, he hit 16 for 43. He bowled out Rakibul Hasan for his first wicket. In a game against India Under-19 at the 2005 Afro-Asia Under-19 Cup in November, Shakib was the first to represent Bangladesh at the Under-19 level.
Rubel Hossain
He has accumulated 96 wickets in 261.5 overs as a bowler throughout 77 games. In 2007, Hossain made his first-class debut for the Chittagong Division, picking up match statistics of 1/137 against the Khulna Division. He was selected to play for the Bangladesh Under-19 squad following stellar performances in the National Cricket League. Soon after, he was promoted to the Bangladesh A team. The Bangladesh Premier League, a twenty20 tournament featuring six teams, was created in 2012 by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Its inaugural season began in February of that year.
Mashrafe Mortaza
As of now, he has 92 wickets in 95 matches and has bowled 333.2 overs. As one of Bangladesh’s most successful rates bowlers, Mortaza is among the best in his field. Retired West Indian fast bowler Andy Roberts, who was temporarily serving as Bangladesh’s bowling trainer, was profoundly impressed by Mortaza’s pace and charge or aggression when he was 19 years old. After recovering from the injury that threatened his career, he was named to the 13-man squad that would face India in a home two-Test series in December 2004.
Taskin Ahmed
He has taken 57 wickets in 79 total matches. He has the fastest bowling speed of any Bangladeshi player right now. Taskin throws the ball at 150+ km/h during a game at the 2021 T-20 World Cup, while Mashrafe Mortaza, the fabled fastest, throws the ball at 148 km/h during a Test match against New Zealand at Hamilton in 2001. Taskin’s top speed when bowling is around 140 kilometres per hour.
Shafiul Islam
In 79 matches, he has accumulated roughly 77 wickets. With five wickets in seven games, he was the fourth-highest wicket-taker on the team. With 24 dismissals in 13 games, he led the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League in 2017-18 for Agrani Bank Cricket Club.
When bowling for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the first round of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2018-2019 in March 2019, Shafiul took his maiden five-wicket haul in List A cricket. After being scouted in November 2019, he was signed to play for the Khulna Tigers in the upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League.
The Bangladesh team’s bowling coach, Champaka Ramanayake, admires Shafiul, praising him for his ability to deliver a superb bouncer and yorker. The bowling attack for Bangladesh has significantly improved in Twenty20 cricket, and they are making further and further inroads on the international stage. Bangladesh has the potential to do well in the upcoming T20 World Cup and other major T20 tournaments, thanks to its balanced roster of seasoned veterans and promising young bowlers.
