There are three professional cricket leagues in Bangladesh, one of which is called the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The highest level of cricket is played using the Twenty20 professional format. Relatively narrow victories in cricket are highly unusual. If both teams scored once, most games would be done early. It all comes down to how well that team hits in an attempt to win. Strong finishing efforts often result in a one-run victory for the battling team. A single run has decided fewer than 40 games in cricket history. The order in which the chasing side bats, and other cricket analytics are crucial to this type of victory by the slimmest possible margin of one run. The top five teams have won by exactly one run and had a total to chase.

Here is the list of teams who win the smallest victories by wickets:

Chittagong Vikings

Chittagong Vikings, one of the BPL’s original teams, was established in 2002. The team’s last name, the Chittagong Kings, was altered when new investors took over. Additionally, they successfully defended a target of 181 runs against the Sylhet Super Stars, which tied the record with the Barisal Bulls for the fewest runs scored in a victory. In 2015, they only allowed one damage run to the opposing squad. They have won 31 games and lost 41 games throughout 72 contests, suitable for a 41.67%-win percentage, which is the third worst in the league.

Barisal Bulls

Initially founded in 2012 under Barisal Burners, the club changed its name to Barisal Bulls in 2015. Since the Fortune Group now owns the squad, they go by Fortune Barisal. The Barisal Bulls and the Sylhet Super Stars met at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh, on November 24, 2015, for a Bangladesh Premier League match. Despite Sylhet Super Stars’ best efforts, the Barisal Bulls were able to score just one run and claim victory. The winning team, the Barisal Bulls, won the toss and opted to field first. They batted first, scoring 108 runs in 19.3 overs before restricting the Sylhet Super Stars to 107 runs in 20 overs, with nine wickets falling along the way.

Comilla Victorians

Among the most successful teams in the Bangladesh Premier League, Comilla Victorians have a long history of success (BPL). The team was formed only in 2015, yet they have already won two championships (one in 2015 and one in 2019). Their 63.46% success rate is much higher than that of the competition. On February 1, 2019, the Comilla Victorians beat the Dhaka Dynamites in a dramatic one-run victory that pushed them to the top of the BPL standings.

Comilla Victorians

In the Bangladesh Premier League, the Comilla Victorians are perennial contenders (BPL). On February 18, 2022, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, in the championship match of the 8th Bangladesh Premier League (Bangabandhu BPL 2022), the Comilla Victorians defeated the Fortune Barishal by a single run. It’s the third time in a row that contestants from Victoria have taken home the trophy for the most challenging domestic tournament. They have the second-best overall record in the league after beating the Khulna Titans 237-5 this year. As a result, they are now in second place.

Khulna Royal Bengals

The former BPL team, the Khulna Royal Bengals, has been replaced by the Khulna Titans. A new team, the Khulna Titans, has since replaced them. In 2016, Gemcon Sports was the first to do this. On February 18, 2012, the Khulna Royal Bengals defeated the Sylhet Royals by 2 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in a nail-biting Bangladesh Premier League encounter. In the 2017 season, their 213/5 versus the Rajshahi Kings was the sixth-greatest score in the tournament.
