And there have been numerous batsmen who successfully dominated this tournament from the beginning. With the BBL (2022-23) season drawing closer, read to know the previous records of those stunning batsmen:

  • Chris Lynn (3005 runs) in 102 BBL games

The player who has been widely recognised as the face of BBL is Chris Lynn. As per reports, Chris made his BBL debut in the year 2011 with the Brisbane Heat. Moreover, he played around 102 games and registered 3005 runs at an average and a strike rate of 34.54 and 148.83, respectively. Furthermore, he is said to be the only batter with 3000+ BBL runs with one century and 24 half-centuries to his name.

  • Aaron Finch (2817 runs) in 87 games

The player to achieve the second position in this context is Aaron Finch. Aaron has played 87 games and managed to score 2817 runs at an average of 34.77 and a strike rate of 134.01. Moreover, he has also scored two centuries and 22 half-centuries, with a top score of 111*. However, Aaron has been a part of the BBL since 2011 and has successfully played for Melbourne Renegades over the years. 

  • Glenn Maxwell (2673 runs) in 100 games

Glenn Maxwell is so far considered as one of the most innovative T20 batsmen, he has successfully represented teams like Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars since his BBL debut. However, Glenn has managed to play around 100 games and score 2673 runs at an average of 33.83 and a strike rate of 150.84. Also, he has hit two centuries and 18 half-centuries.

  • Jonathan Wells (2554 runs) in 111 games

The next player to follow the list is Jonathan Wells, who is among the most capped players in the tournament with more than 100 matches to his name. According to reports, he has successfully played 111 games and scored 2554 runs at an average of 34.92 and a strike rate of 122.78. Moreover, he has also scored 14 half-centuries, with the highest score of 73. Jonathan is perhaps considered to be a part of the BBL since 2011, with teams like Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes.

  • D’Arcy Short (2553 runs) in 72 games

The player to bag the fifth position is D’Arcy Short, who made his BBL debut in 2016 with the team, Hobart Hurricanes. The player has successfully played a total of 72 matches and scored 2553 runs at an average and strike rate of 39.89 and 133.66, respectively. He has also achieved many matches for his team.
