The Adelaide Strikers is said to have come into existence in the year of 2011. The team is generally considered a franchise cricket team which represents the city of Adelaide, South Australia in the Big Bash League. And, they have Adelaide Oval for its home grounds. Throughout the years, the team has had numerous talented players ranging from all-rounders, to high scoring batsmen, to effective bowlers and finally keepers. Right now, the team is led by Travis Head being their captain. Moreover, their present coach is Jason Gillespie and vice-captain is Alex Carey.
According to reports, the Adelaide Strikers managed to secure the BBL title during the 2017-2018 season of the tournament. However, in the 2016/17 Big Bash, they were rated as the most entertaining team in the BBL. They will be competing against the Sydney Sixers on 14th December, 2022.
