Haryana’s Yashvardhan scored a record quadruple-century, performed a feat against Mumbai in the Under-23 Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy
Haryana opener Yashvardhan Dalal created history by scoring a record-unbeaten 426 against Mumbai on Saturday in the Under-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match. He is the first batsman to score a quadruple-century in the history of the tournament. He broke the record of Sameer Rizvi of Uttar Pradesh, who had played a brilliant innings of 312 runs last season.

Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl first at Gurugram Cricket Ground in Sultanpur, Haryana. On the basis of Yashvardhan’s brilliant innings, Haryana declared the innings on the third day, Sunday morning, at 742 runs for eight wickets. Yashvardhan returned to the pavilion after scoring 426 runs not out.
Yash, who scored four runs against Madhya Pradesh and 23 and 67 runs against Jharkhand in the last two matches, was sent to open in this match and shared a 410-run partnership for the first wicket with Arsh Ranga. Ranga also scored 151 runs. Yashvardhan hit 46 fours and 12 sixes in 463 balls in his marathon innings.
This is not the first time that this batsman from Jhajjar has caught everyone’s attention by playing a big innings. Yash scored 237 runs in the Under-16 league match in December 2021. In that match, Haryana scored 452 runs in a 40-over match.
