During the Pakistan Super League Qualification match on Wednesday, star West Indies batting Kieron Pollard and Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi were spotted exchanging angry words. The event occurred during Multan Sultans’ batting in the 19th over, when the right-handed power-hitter hammered the left-arm pacer for three sixes. A video of the two confronting one other after the over is going popular on social media. Shaheen’s 19th over yielded a total of 20 runs, 19 of which were scored by Pollard.

Shaheen appeared displeased and irritated. This resulted in him and Pollard having a few words before the last over of the inning began.

Shaheen began the 19th over with a dot ball to Pollard, who smashed the next ball for a six straight down the ground. Pollard smashed the following ball over the boundary rope for a six, accelerating him to his half-century in 31 balls.

Hussain Talat dropped Pollard’s catch at extra cover on the fourth ball of the over, and the batsman swiped a single. Tim David then rotated the stroke on the following ball before Pollard blasted the next ball for a six over deep backward square leg.

Kieron Pollard hit 57 off 34 balls as Multan Sultans achieved 160 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs.
