It was a game that Virat Kohli won. The star Indian batter played one of the best knocks in his career. India looked down and out for the most part of their run chase. However, they changed gears in the last five overs and produced a positive result. King Kohli, as fans call him, hit an unbeaten 82 off 53 balls to power India for a thumping win.

Batting first, Pakistan posted 159/8 in 20 overs. India looked down and out at 31/4 before Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli stitched together a century-run stand to take India back into the match.

The fourth ball of the last over bowled by Mohammad Nawaz saw a waist-high no-ball. Virat Kohli sensed an opportunity. He smashed it through the deep square leg for six runs.

In the free hit, Nawaz hit the stumps, but the ball passed after hitting the stumps to reach near the boundary line as India scored 3 runs. Dinesh Karthik lost his wicket in the next ball. The equation reached 2 runs to win off one ball.
Nawaz’s next ball was wide, and the game bounced back in India’s favour. He carted it for a four, as India registered an epic win. They will next meet the Netherlands on Thursday.
