Super over thriller: Flood of runs seen in Bangalore

In the super over thriller between Afghanistan and India, India won in the second super over, Rohit Sharma scored his fifth T20I century after six years.

India vs Afghanistan third t20 match scored so many runs. The result of the match may have gone in favor of India in the second super over, but in this super over thriller, Afghanistan’s batters gave their all in the match. India, which has taken the lead by winning the first two matches in the three-match T20 series, when came to bat first in Bengaluru for the third match, the Afghan bowlers pacified the Indian fans with their sharp bowling. On the flat pitch of Bengaluru, India gave away its first four wickets for just 22 runs, which also included a golden duck from Virat Kohli.

Sanju Samson, who was playing the first match of this T20 series, also got out for zero on the first ball itself. After losing four big wickets for just 22 runs, the Indian team looked completely on the back foot. Rinku Singh, who came at number six, started handling the innings along with captain Rohit Sharma and after that, both players started hitting a flurry of sixes and fours. Captain Rohit Sharma made a century and scored 121 runs in 69 balls in which he hit 6 skyscraper sixes.

Supporting captain Rohit Sharma, Rinku Singh also played a strong inning of 69 runs in 39 balls which also included six sixes in his name. Despite losing four wickets before 30 runs, the Indian batsmen set an incredible target of 212 runs in 20 overs. Both the batsmen together made a partnership of 190 runs and did not give a single wicket till the end. After this, Afghanistan was completely on the back foot.

The Afghanistan team, which came to bat in the second innings, looked strong from the beginning. Afghanistan openers added 93 runs in 10.3 overs for the first wicket. For Afghanistan, the first three batsmen scored half-centuries. Even though India won the second Super Over in a thrilling match, all the Afghans must have been happy after watching Afghanistan’s game. Gulbadin Naib emerged as the hero for Afghanistan, he played a brilliant inning of 55 runs and tied the match. In the last over, where 19 runs were needed to win, Gulabdin Naib gave life to the match by scoring 18 runs and took the exciting match to the super over.

1st Super over

 Afghanistan, who came to bat in the first Super Over, scored 16 runs in Mukesh Kumar’s over. And set a challenging target in front of Rohit and the company. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal didn’t manage to chase the 17 runs and super over went for the tie itself. 

2nd super over 

According to the rules India came to bat first in the second super over and lost both wickets in after making just 11 runs. Afghanistan fans were happy after seeing the 12 runs target and Rohit gave them more happiness by choosing Ravi Bisnoi to bowl in the second Super Over, but Ravi Bisnoi turned the table by taking both wickets after giving just one run and that’s how India won the third T20 by 10 runs.
