IPL franchises have released the list of their retained and released players. Now fans are waiting for the IPL 2025 mega auction, which will be held on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, the capital of Saudi Arabia. 1574 players (1165 Indians and 409 foreigners) have registered for the auction.
US fast bowler Saurabh Netravalkar has also given his name for the mega auction, he made a lot of headlines with his brilliant performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. He has kept his base price at Rs 30 lakh and if a franchise buys him, he will become the first American player to play an IPL match.

Saurabh Netravalkar grew up in Mumbai
Let us tell you, Saurabh Netravalkar was born in Mumbai and has also represented Mumbai in the Under-19 team. Later he moved to the USA due to professional commitment and started working as a software engineer in Oracle organization. He had told me that he was not getting an Indian senior team and IPL contract, due to which he decided to go to the USA.

Saurabh Netravalkar impressed everyone with his bowling in the T20 World Cup 2024. He defended 18 runs in the super over against Pakistan and gave the team a spectacular victory by two wickets. At the same time, his performance against India was also tremendous. He took two wickets in four overs at an economy of 4.50.
Saurabh dismissed Virat Kohli for a duck and Rohit Sharma for 3 runs. Due to Saurabh’s excellent performance, America won two out of four matches in the group stage and made it to the Super-8. In the tournament, he took 6 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 20.83 and an economy of 6.63.
