Liam Livingstone continued his sensational form as he smashed an unbeaten 63 off just 27 balls in the fourth England vs Australia ODI at Lord’s on Friday.
The English all-rounder displayed a phenomenal performance as he hammered Australian star pacer Mitchell Starc for 28 runs in the final over of the innings and set multiple records at Lord’s.
Livingstone was at 34 runs off 21 balls before facing Starc in the last over of the innings and went on to score 62 off 27 balls to help England post a big total of 312 for 5 in 39 overs.
Mitchell Starc, who has 241 wickets in just 124 ODI games, is considered one of the most dreadful active fast-bowlers currently. However, he was not able to stop Livingstone onslaught in the last over.
Starc missed a yorker on the first delivery and Livingstone punched it over long-on for a big six. The pacer tried to make a comeback with a bouncer on the following delivery, but the Englishman thereafter registered three big sixes and finished the over with a four to make it the most expensive over at Lord’s.
Liam Livingstone reached a 50-run mark in 25 balls to register the fastest fifty in ODI history at Lord’s.
The 31-year-old also smashed seven sixes and three fours in his innings to register the most sixes in an innings at Lord’s in an ODIs record.
Livingstone tied with former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, who also hit seven sixes to go along with eight fours during his knock of 123 in 129 balls against West Indies in 2004.

England also broke the record for the most sixes by any side in an innings at Lord’s in ODIs with 12 sixes.

Lastly, Mitchell Starc registered an unwanted record for the most expensive over, conceding 28 runs, bowled by an Australian bowler in ODIs. He is followed by Simon Davis, Craig
McDermott, Xavier Doherty, Adam Zampa and Cameroon Green, all concededing 26 runs in an over each in ODIs.
