
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has now surpassed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to become the most-followed Indian Premier League (IPL) team on Instagram. At present, RCB has crossed 17.8 million followers, overtaking the five-time champion, CSK, who has around 17.7 million followers.
This marks a major milestone for RCB, making them the first IPL team to achieve this massive social media following. Mumbai Indians (MI) follow closely behind with over 16.2 million followers, while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are fourth on the list, boasting over seven million followers.
RCB vs CSK: The Rivalry Continues
RCB and CSK recently faced off in the IPL 2025 season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match saw RCB claim a dominant 50-run victory over CSK, marking their first win at Chepauk since 2008. This win not only boosted their confidence but also played a role in their soaring social media presence.

RCB’s Strong Start in IPL 2025
RCB has kicked off IPL 2025 with an outstanding performance, securing consecutive victories in opposition to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and CSK.
KKR vs RCB: Chased down a one hundred seventy-five-run goal in just 16.2 overs, winning by seven wickets at Eden Gardens. Superstar batters Virat Kohli (59* off 36 balls) and Phil Salt (56 off 31 balls) performed crucial roles, while Krunal Pandya became the named player of the match for his fantastic bowling figures (3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs).
CSK vs RCB: Correctly defended a 197-run total, prevailing by 50 runs. Captain Rajat Patidar led the team with an awesome 51-run knock in just 32 balls, at the same time as pacer Josh Hazlewood added a fantastic bowling performance, picking up three wickets for 21 runs in his 4-over spell.
