RCB Among Sporting Royalty Real Madrid, Manchester United on Instagram Count

In terms of reactions on the social media network Instagram, Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore rank with La Liga giants Real Madrid and one of England’s greatest clubs Manchester United.

Along with RCB, the top five teams with the most Instagram reactions in 2022 include football giants Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and PSG.

RCB received around 948 million Instagram engagements, the most of any Indian sporting organisation.

Real Madrid, Europe’s most successful team, topped the list with a stunning 2.09 billion reactions. While Catalonian colleagues and old rivals Barcelona came in second on the list with 1.78 billion visits on the specific parameter.

The Spanish team has among of the most ardent followers in the world, and their media space is dominated by England’s most successful team in the country’s domestic competitions. Manchester United ended in third with 1.41 billion reactions, while Parisian club led by FIFA World Cup 2022 winner Lionel Messi came in fourth with 1.07 billion.

PSG also has Brazilian star Neymar and French wunderkind Kylian Mbappe among their ranks, and the starters carry more than their fair share of weight on social media.

The Karnataka-based franchise finished fifth on the exclusive list dominated by football teams, garnering more responses than any other club cricket team and the most by any Indian team.

The Bangalore side, led by South African Faf du Plessis, has an ardent fan following in the city and some of the most boisterous support in the sport, as its home games at the MA Chinnaswamy Stadium draw large crowds season after season.

They have the poster boy of Indian cricket, former captain Virat Kohli, who is a social media sensation in his own right.
