Team India is set to face South Africa in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2014 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. While the Indian cricket team will look to end its ICC trophy drought, the match will be an emotional occasion for India head coach Rahul Dravid.
Dravid will be donning the Indian jersey for one last time as the head coach of India on June 29. His stint as the Indian head coach will come to a closure after the end of the T20 World Cup 2024.
Although the team saw several ups and downs under his mentorship, for Dravid it will be the memories that he will cherish in the days to come.

โFondest memories will be the connections I have built,” said the outgoing head of the finale of the T20 World Cup.
To remember his legacy and thank him for his service, the Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has put out a video on social media.

Indian cricket fans, too, did not remain far behind in thanking the coach who acted as a guiding light to the team through its successes and setbacks. Social media users initiated the DoItForDravid trend to give him the befitting parting gift.ย
Win or lose, Dravid will be leaving behind a big shoe to fill. He had always stood with the team and the players in tough times and motivated them throughout.

Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, better known then as โThe Great Wall Of Indiaโ, joined the Indian cricket team as head coach in November 2021. He took over of Ravi Shastri and gave a new direction to the team
Under his coaching, India became the No.1 team in the ODIs and the T20Is. The Men In Blue became the second best team in the world in the red-ball cricketing format.
India, under the tutelage of Rahul Dravid won 14 of the 27 Test matches they played while losing seven of them. They won six Test series including the home ones against Australia and England.
The Gaba Test win against Australia will be one of the Test victories he will cherish the most.
Dravidโs men lifted the Asia Cup trophy in 2023 in Sri Lanka, bringing home the glory after five years.
The ICC World Cup 2023 will be a bitter-sweet memory for Rahul Dravid. The team showed its dominant force in the tournament by remaining unbeaten up until the final match against Australia. The November 19 heartbreak continues to haunt many.
However, the Dravid-Rohit duo has a chance for redemption by winning the final match of T20 World Cup. The Men In Blue would be looking forward to bringing home the trophy in what would be a tribute to the true blue legend that Dravid is and give him the perfect farewell gift!
