South African cricketer Quinton de Kock was born on December 17, 1992. In all three versions, he has captained the Proteas. He is now a member of the South African limited overs side, the Titans of the domestic Indian Premier League, and the Lucknow Super Giants of the Indian Premier League. Quinton de Kock was one of the men who quickly advanced from the under-19 to the senior level. The aggressive batting of De Kock at the top of the order in one-day internationals has relieved the load on AB de Villiers.

He made his debut in One-Day Internationals for South Africa in 2012–13 and rapidly became a fan favourite in One-Day Internationals against India the following season. Only the sixth batter in history to achieve this feat, he set a new standard by making three straight hundreds (in a three-match series, no less).

After this performance, he has received even more support to make the Test squad, under the condition that de Villiers is limited to batting only. After a slight delay, he faced Australia in his debut Test at Port Elizabeth. Even if de Villiers’ workload is only anticipated to increase, the future of South African cricket is bright since de Kock has time and talent on his side.
