Nathan Astle (New Zealand)
- Nathan Astle’s first duck in the World Cups came in the 1996 Cricket World Cup against the Netherlands. He was run out for a five-ball duck.
- His second duck came in the 1999 Cricket World Cup against Pakistan. Shoaib Akhtar dismissed the Kiwi opener for a six-ball duck.
- Astle started the 2003 World Cup in a horrid manner by getting out for a duck in the first match. The Kiwi batter was run out by Chaminda Vaas.
- His fourth duck came against the eventual champions of the 2003 World Cup, Australia. Glenn McGrath dismissed him for a duck.
- He was dismissed for a golden duck in New Zealand’s final game at the 2003 World Cup. Zaheer Khan dismissed him by trapping him in front of the stumps in the first over.
Ijaz Ahmed (Pakistan)
- Ijaz Ahmed’s first duck came in the 1992 World Cup against England. He was dismissed by Gladstone Small for a 15-ball duck.
- In the same tournament, Ijaz was dismissed for a silver duck against Australia as he was run out by wicketkeeper Ian Healy.
- In the 1996 World Cup, he was once again dismissed for a silver duck this time against South Africa. Hansie Cronje trapped the Pakistani middle-order batter in front of the stumps.
- His fourth duck in the tournament came during the 1999 World Cup as he was dismissed for a six-ball duck by Damien Fleming.

Angelo Mathews (Sri Lanka)
- Angelo Mathews’ first duck came in the 2011 World Cup against Zimbabwe. Mathews was dismissed by Chris Mpofu for a golden duck.
- His second duck in the tournament’s history came in the 2019 World Cup during Sri Lanka’s first game of the edition. New Zealand bowled out Sri Lanka for just 136 runs and Mathews was dismissed for a nine-ball duck by Colin de Grandhomme.
- In the following game, Mathews was once again dismissed for a duck. Mohammad Nabi from Afghanistan dismissed the veteran middle-order batter for a silver duck.
- Mathews creed history in the 2023 World Cup against Bangladesh. The experienced batter became the first player to be timed out in international cricket. Bangladesh’s captain, Shakib al Hasan appealed for a timed-out dismissal after Mathews took a lot of time to be ready to play the first ball.

- AB de Villiers’ first duck came in the 2007 World Cup against the Netherlands while opening the batting. Billy Stelling dismissed the South African batter for a silver duck.
