This World Cup hasn’t been good for Sri Lanka. It has almost lost its chances of qualifying for knockouts. If Sri Lanka could manage to win all his left games and other teams who are in this race will lose theirs then there could be some chance with the help of run-rate calculations. Calling Angelo Mathews didn’t help Sri Lanka to make a comeback in this tournament. They lost their last game against India by a significant margin which damaged their run rate. Bangladesh has already been eliminated from the race so they don’t have anything to lose and they could destroy other team’s games, in today’s SL vs BAN game Sri Lanka could be the first team on this list.

Both neighboring teams have a good history in this setup as they’ve played 53 games together Srilanka is leading this chase by 42-9 but this is the stage of the World Cup and no team is weak here. In World Cup games Sri Lanka has again won three out of four and one of them didn’t produce the result. In the last world cup game when the full game was played Sri Lanka became the winner by 92 runs in the 2015 World Cup. In that game, T Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara smashed centuries and from Bangladesh, only one player Sabbir Rahman made it to a half-century. There are many batters who’ve scored runs in this rivalry so let’s take a look at the top five of them.
