Natalie Sciver : Biography, Records, Age, Height, Achievements, Family and Career Statistics

Read Natalie Sciver’s background and professional highlights, as well as his wife and other notable details.

Natalie Sciver, who was born in Tokyo, started playing cricket as a young girl in the Netherlands even though it was her third-favorite sport after football and tennis. She was chosen for England’s 2013 series against Pakistan after shining for Surrey in the County Championship in 2012 and 2013. She is a true all-rounder. In just her second ODI, she won Player of the Match after taking 3 for 28 against Pakistan, making an immediate impression on the international stage that summer.

She made history in October 2013 by becoming the first English cricketer, male or female, to win a T20I hat-trick against New Zealand with the help of her skiddy, accurate medium-pacer bowling. She also demonstrated this talent earlier this year during the Perth Test, where she and Arran Brindle produced a 58-run partnership to save England’s first innings and came within one run of a first Test half-century. With a batting average of 100 during the 2013 Ashes series, she solidified her role as an essential middle-order anchor for England.

She only bowled one over during the Test, but she concluded the 2015 Women’s Ashes with nine wickets at an average of 17.55, suggesting that she hasn’t used her bowling to its full capacity at the international level. In seven of England’s eight games in New Zealand in the beginning of 2015, she failed to bowl. In the series, she hit 175 runs as well.

After being hired by the Melbourne Stars for the league’s first season, she cemented her status as a powerful batter by becoming the first female player to hit a six in the Women’s Big Bash League. Her ankle injury led her to miss England’s ODI series in South Africa in early 2016, but she was able to rejoin the team for the T20 leg of the tour and played in all of their World Twenty20 games. She was a major part in their series victory over Pakistan that summer, breaking the previous record for the quickest half-century in ODIs with an 80-ball knock in the second ODI at Worcester.
