He finalized his decision when he got dropped from the white-ball series against Australia of three T20Is and five ODIs. “I’m 37 years old and didn’t get picked for this month’s Australia series,” Moeen said in a Daily Mail interview. “I’ve played a lot of cricket for England. It’s time for the next generation, which was also explained to me. It felt the time was right. I’ve done my part.”

Moeen Ali, originally from Birmingham, is a left-handed batsman and right-arm spinner. He has represented England in Test, ODI, and T20I matches since 2014; he has made a total of 6678 runs and picked up 366 wickets in international cricket for England.
In the T20 format, Moeen Ali played for the Birmingham Bears in the vitality-blast T20 quarterfinals, where he took one wicket and scored 27 runs.
