He has also faired well as a captain in the IPL in the absence of regular captain Sachin Tendulkar during the initial IPL seasons. Harbhajan could be a perfect replacement for Gambhir in IPL 2025.
Ravi Shastri
The former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri was an integral part of the team management when India defeated Australia twice on their home soil in 2018 and 2020. The Reunion
Another reason why Shastri might replace Gambhir is his association with KKR bowling coach Bharat Arun as both of them were associated with the Indian team when Shastri was the head coach.
Eoin Morgan
The ODI World Cup-winning captain guided KKR to only their third final( before 2024) when the second half of the Indian Premier League was played in the UAE in 2021. Morgan has a wealth of experience as a captain of England in white ball cricket and has also been a part of the KKR setup for a few years. Apart from that Morgan and Gambhir are quite similar individuals as both of them find ways to win from any situation of the game which helps in inculcating a positive mindset within the team which results in a team being consistent throughout the tournament.
