IPL 2025: Virat Kohli Equals David Warner’s Record for Most 50+ Scores
During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opener Virat Kohli made another historic achievement. Kohli scored his third half-century in IPL 2025 during the 28th match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), and with this, he equalled Australian cricketer David Warner’s record for the most 50+ scores. On Sunday, April 13, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Kohli scored 62 runs, matching Warner’s record of 66 50+ scores in IPL history.
RCB was chasing a target of 174 runs in this match. Kohli, along with his opening partner Phil Salt (65), put up an opening partnership of 92 runs, giving RCB a great start. After Salt got out, Devdutt Padikkal added an unbeaten 40 runs, and RCB won by 9 wickets in just 17.3 overs.

Kohli achieved this in 250 innings, with 58 half-centuries and 8 centuries. On the other hand, Warner achieved his 66 scores in 184 innings, with 4 centuries and 62 half-centuries. Warner was unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
