With his batting, KKR’s “Muscle Man,” Andre Russell, may change the flow of the game at any point. He has a strike rate of 185.00 and has taken 15 wickets in 12 matches this season while scoring 222 runs. He is competing for a purple cap, too.

Sunil Narine

This season, Kolkata has performed so well that one of them is their opening batter. This season, Sunil Narine showed his dominance in both batting and bowling. At a strike rate of 182.93, he scored 461 runs in 12 games, including 32 sixes. In addition, he has taken 15 wickets this season and is the KKR team’s top run scorer.

Pitch Conditions

The pitch at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium is favourable for batting. This pitch is used to score quality runs. The outfield is quick, but the boundary is a little bit large. This pitch offers fast bowlers a lot of help. On this pitch, the spinners have very little help. This field has two different kinds of pitches: red and black. The spinners will also receive assistance if the game is played on a red pitch. On this pitch, good runs will therefore be observed.

In their three IPL meetings, the Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders have split their victories, with Gujarat winning two and Kolkata winning one. Given that this is the first IPL 2024 meeting between GT and KKR.  The team that wins the toss should bat first.
