
The updated schedule for the upcoming ODI World Cup has been revealed, accompanied by a significant joint announcement from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The eagerly awaited ticket sales for the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 are all set to kick off on August 25.
Initially, tickets for matches and warm-ups that do not involve India will be available, starting from August 25.
Prior to this date, cricket enthusiasts will have the opportunity to register for their tickets once the registration link becomes active. Starting from August 15, 2023, the registration link at https://www.cricketworldcup.com/register will be activated, enabling interested individuals to express their interest in the event and subsequently receive important updates regarding ticket availability.
The ICC explained the process, stating, “Ahead of tickets going on sale, fans will have the opportunity to register their interest via https://www.cricketworldcup.com/register from 15 August. This will enable them to receive ticket news first and help secure their spot at the World Cup, and experience the joy of cricket in one day.”
BCCI CEO Hemang Amin also shared his thoughts, saying, “We are delighted to announce that fans can register to receive information and updates on official tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The schedule, after some amendments, has now been finalized and fans can now look forward to buying tickets and watching some high-quality cricket. The BCCI will leave no stone unturned to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience at all the hosting venues.”
Meanwhile, the ICC and BCCI have also revealed a revised schedule for the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match, now scheduled for October 14th in Ahmedabad. This much-anticipated clash was initially planned for October 15th but has been rescheduled.
Additionally, the England vs Afghanistan match in Delhi will now take place on October 15th, shifting from its previous date of October 14th.
The World Cup is set to commence on October 5th with a match between defending champions England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The month-long extravaganza will culminate on November 19th, crowning the ultimate champions of the tournament.
Ticket sales will be conducted in phases, ensuring that all fans have the opportunity to secure tickets for their preferred matches. Starting from August 25th, tickets for non-India warm-up games and event matches will be up for grabs. Subsequently, tickets for India’s matches across different venues will be released on designated dates, spanning from August 30th to September 3rd. Sales for the semi-finals and the grand final will commence on September 15th.
