ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: The highly anticipated ninth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 has been relocated to the United Arab Emirates due to political instability in Bangladesh.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 To Start From October 3rd
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will showcase ten teams, with Group A featuring Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Group B includes Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and first-time participants Scotland. The opening match on October 3 will see Bangladesh take on Scotland, marking their debut in this prestigious event.
Before the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 official matches commence, all ten participating teams will participate in warm-up fixtures to gear up for the tournament. These practice games, taking place across three venues in Dubai from September 28 to October 1, will consist of 20-over contests, although they will not be recognized as T20I matches. Each team will play two warm-up matches, allowing them to rotate their 15-member squads and experiment with different strategies ahead of the main event.
