The bowling performances of England and Pakistan during their recent four-match T20 series were excellent. Even if rain stole the show in two of the matches, England’s overwhelming wins in the other two showed their increasing strength as the T20 World Cup comes closer.
England’s Bowling Masterclass
England’s victory was largely fueled by their bowling attack. In the second T20 International at Edgbaston, they completely shut off Pakistan’s batting lineup, limiting them to a low score and winning by a comfortable 23 runs. At The Oval, England’s supremacy was evident as they easily defeated Pakistan by 3 wickets. When Jofra Archer delivered the last powerplay delivery and dismissed the Captian of Pakistan Babar Azam, it was a crucial wicket. In the last match, Adil Rashid proved his spin against the batsman by winning Player of the Match with his economical leg-spin bowling.

England Batsmen Take the Glory
There were moments of outstanding batting from England despite the delays due to the rain. Phil Salt’s brilliant 45-run innings in the last T20 International gave the chase crucial momentum. Jos Buttler was the clear choice for Player of the Series because of his consistent play throughout the series.
Looking Forward: A Tale of Two Teams
England’s energy is greatly boosted by their series win as they prepare for the T20 World Cup. They are ready to make an impact on the world stage because they have key players who are playing well and a well-rounded team. However the series revealed weaknesses in Pakistan’s defences. If they are going to leave an impression on the T20 World Cup, they will need to address their batting weaknesses and bowling mistakes.

Pakistan’s Batting Collapse
Throughout the entire series, Pakistan’s batting problems were clear. Despite an excellent start in the powerplay overs in the last T20 International, they were all out for a terrible 157 runs due to a complete collapse. With the possible exception of a brilliant bowling effort by Haris Rauf, who took three wickets. Pakistan’s bowling attack was mostly ineffective, leaving their batters defenceless.
England’s Clinical Chase
In the last T20 International, England’s batting ability was on top form. They managed to reach their small target of 158 runs with three overs and seven wickets left. Phil Salt’s aggressive 45-run innings laid a strong foundation, and other batsmen like Jos Buttler (39 runs) made sure the chase went easily.
