England’s veteran pacer James Anderson, who is playing the final Test match of his career in the ongoing 3-match Test series against the West Indies, has been named the greatest-ever batter.

Ahead of his final Test match at Lord’s, Anderson had a candid chat with the UK’s leading media agency, SKY Sports. During the Question and Answer session, James Anderson ignored Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, and Rohit Sharma and named the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the finest batter he had ever seen.
“The best batter I would have to say is Sachin Tendulkar,” Anderson said.
James Anderson Named The Greatest Ever Bowler
James Anderson was asked to pick the best bowler he had ever faced, he took the names of Glenn McGrath and Dale Steyn.
He added: “The best bowler I faced probably Glenn McGrath or Dale Steyn. Hard to pick between the two. Slightly different bowlers, but both world-class.”
Talking about Anderson, the star bowler has been serving his nation for more than two decades now and is hailed as one of the most successful bowlers in the history of this game. He has represented England in 187 Tests and has picked 700 wickets in the longest format of the game.
Not just this, James Anderson is England’s most successful ODI bowler, with 269 wickets under his name.

Meanwhile, coming out on the fielding during his farewell Test match, Anderson received a rousing reception from the fans at Lord’s. The pacer led out the England team in his farewell Test as the entire stadium gave him a standing ovation.
Anderson’s family and friends were also present at the stadium to witness the iconic game. James Anderson’s family had the honor of ringing the bell at the iconic Lord’s ahead of the start of the first Test.
