
ENG vs SL: On Wednesday, August 7th, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board announced the 18-member squad for the upcoming tour of England. The Sri Lankan cricket team is all set to play a three-match Test series in England, starting from August 21st at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
The second Test match is scheduled to take place at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground from August 29th, followed by the third and final Test match at the Kia Oval in Kennington from September 6th between England and Sri Lanka.
Notably, the three-match Test series is a part of the ongoing World Test Championship 2024-2025.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) took to their official social media handle and announced the 18-member squad for the England tour. The Sri Lankan cricket team will be led by Dhananjaya De Silva.
The SLC said in a media release: “Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee approved the following 18-member squad to play the three-match test series against England. The Honorable Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Harin Fernando, approved the squad. The test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship.”
