The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has finally announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming three-match ENG vs SL Test series on home soil. Veteran all-rounder Ben Stokes will continue to lead the England national cricket team in the longest format of the game.
It has to be noted that star opener Zak Crawley will be missing the upcoming Sri Lanka Test series after he fractured his right hand’s little finger during the final match of the three-match series against the West Indies last month. Another significant omission is right-arm medium pacer Dillon Pennington, who has been ruled out because of a hamstring injury, ECB confirmed.

Pacer Olly Stone has also been included in the 3-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Stone will be making his comeback for the Test side for the first time since June 2021.
