While some of the sporting events will begin on September 19, the 19th Asian Games are scheduled to begin on September 23. The women’s cricket competition is set to begin on September 19. For the first time, BCCI sent both a men’s and a women’s squad to the Asian Games. The men’s team will be captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad, and the women’s team will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur. It is noteworthy that the top four teams have automatically advanced to the quarterfinals. As a result, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India have advanced to the quarterfinals.
When will cricket start in the Asian Games 2023?
The Men’s cricket event will start on 27th September. The Indian Men’s team will however start their campaign on the 3rd of October in the first quarterfinal. The final gold medal match will be played on the 7th of October.
