
The BCCI have released the schedule for the following season, with the defending champions Gujarat Titans facing four-time champions Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 opener in Ahmedabad.
The tournament’s 16th season begins on March 31 and concludes on May 21 with the final league match.
During the league portion of the competition, each of the ten franchises will play seven home and seven away matches.
The board declared that 70 league matches will be played, including 18 double headers. The league matches will be contested at 12 different locations over the course of 52 days.
The championship game will take place on May 28, with the schedule and locations for the Playoffs and Final to be revealed later.
The evening matches will start from 7:30 pm IST while the afternoon matches on the day of the double headers will begin from 3:30 pm IST.
