Without a question, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the most successful team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Apart from winning the Champions League T20 twice, the Men in Yellow have won the IPL three times (2010, 2011, 2018). (2010, 2014). CSK- Chennai Super Kings History

Everyone was unfamiliar with the concept of IPL. The spectators had yet to grasp the notion of T20 cricket. In January 2008, the first auctions were held. MS Dhoni became the auction’s most expensive player for 1.5 million dollars. CSK’s First IPL Victory

CSK started the 2010 season poorly, winning only two of seven games. Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina’s strong contributions helped them win four consecutive games. Doug Bollinger’s stunning spell of 4 for 13 in four overs helped them upset the Deccan Chargers in the playoffs. CSK also won the finals by 22 runs over the Mumbai Indians.

CSK-Victory in 2011

The Chennai franchise retained MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, and Albie Morkel for the 2011 season despite auctioning off Mike Hussey, R Ashwin, Doug Bollinger, and Subramaniam Badrinath. In the qualifying final, CSK defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets. However, because the top two teams receive two chances to qualify, Bangalore qualified for the finals again. Yet it was CSK who grabbed the cake yet again.

CSK’s Strong Comeback in 2018

CSK made a comeback in 2018, headed by MS Dhoni, while retaining the base of the team. The Super Kings finished second in the league stage, trailing the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the title for the third time after defeating Sunrisers in both the qualifying and final.
