Former India captain Rahul Dravid is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time, and his son Anvay Dravid is following in his father’s footsteps. Anvay is the captain of Karnataka’s U-14 team in an interzonal event. Unlike Rahul Dravid, who was a part-time wicketkeeper for the Indian team, Anvay Dravid is a full-time wicketkeeper for the Karnataka U-14 cricket team. Samit Dravid, Dravid’s elder son, is also a cricketer who represented Karnataka at the U-14 level, scoring two double hundreds.
Anvay achieved a half-century in a semi-final of the BTR Shield Under-14 Group I in 2020, but fell 10 runs short of his century. Meanwhile, Samit made headlines when he hit two double-centuries at the U-14 level in the 2019/20 season.
Samit has already established himself at the U-14 level, and Anvay now has his work cut out for him in the tournament. Rahul Dravid has been hired as Team India’s coach. India is now playing an ODI series against New Zealand and won the first ODI match at Hyderabad on January 18, 2023. On Saturday, the second One-Day International (ODI) will be played in Raipur (January 21).
A win will give India a series victory in their final ODI series at home in 2022/23. The third one-day international will be played on January 24 at Indore.
