Roger Binny is the current captain of the Indian cricket team and the 36th president of the Board of Control for Cricket. He was born in India on 19 July 1955 and is the country’s current international cricketer. His tenure as president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association spanned 2019 and 2020. Roger Michael Humphrey Binny, an ex-India all-rounder, appeared in 72 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 27 Tests. He played an important role in the 1983 World Cup-winning team. He was a member of India’s winning squads at the 1985 World Cup and the Cricket World Championship. While Roger’s other strengths as an aggressive hitter and a solid fielder kept him on the national team, his bowling kept him there. His ability to swing the fresh ball in both directions was a bonus before the fabled Indian spin foursome was brought into the attack. In his third Test, which took place in the city now known as Mumbai, he wreaked havoc for Pakistan by dismissing three of their best batsmen in the first few overs of their innings. These players were Majid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, and Javed Miandad. India won the match by 131 runs.
