Extraordinary strike rates have marked many ODI innings. The T20 era was not necessarily when this transformation began. The format was dynamic the entire time. Sometimes, a hitter just needed to move into a different zone. And after putting in a lifetime’s worth of work, these batters left the game. They are not cameos and are among the best ODI knocks of all time.

#5 Chris Gayle (SR: 285.18)

Chris Gayle has to be on a list that talks about strike rates. West Indies and England both offered a significant threat to the ODI 500-run threshold in 2019. The two teams played a 5-match ODI series prior to the 2019 World Cup. In their previous match, West Indies overpowered England with a barrage of short balls. Gayle got off to a good start because she knew she only needed to win by 114. He had a strike rate of 285.18 and scored 77 runs off just 27 balls, hitting 5 fours and 9 sixes.

#4 Brendon McCullum (SR: 285.71)

He was one cricketer that played the T20 game in all formats, regardless of the situation. With a score of just 93, New Zealand bowled out Bangladesh. Jamie How and Brendon McCullum opened the innings. Without losing a wicket, New Zealand prevailed throughout the match. In a 95-run opening partnership that was unbroken, Jamie scored all seven runs.
