Bharat Arun, born on December 14, 1962, played for India in the Test squad and now coaches the bowlers for the Indian national team. With his signature beard, Arun was a versatile player who could pitch at a medium pace and bat in the lower order with aggression. His time playing for India on the international stage was brief, as he only got six total appearances. In 1979, he was a part of Ravi Shastri’sShastri’s Indian under-19 team that went on a tour of Sri Lanka. However, he continued to play cricket for Tamil Nadu up until 1992.

While playing for the South Zone against the West Zone for the Duleep Trophy, he and WV Raman put on 221 runs for the seventh wicket.
