Indian former cricket international Suresh Raina was born on November 27, 1986. When the regular captain was unavailable, he would take over as captain of the Indian men’s national cricket team. Raina has helped out former captain MS Dhoni with a few solid overs during the innings as a lefty batter and a handy spinner. His acrobatic fielding and infectious enthusiasm for cheering on his teammates have made him a fan favourite.
The Indian team would not have been as successful without Raina’s services in the centre of the line-up. Raina has already retired from all forms of cricket, but his T20I career stats are outstanding. In 78 matches, he has scored 1,605 runs with an average of 29.18, including one hundred and five fifties.
